One platform, every role

A shared record for the whole team around the child

Eight role-based portals, one live child record. Choose a role to see what eSENDplan does for them.

For SENCOs & Teachers

Stop getting buried under administrative form-filling. Record daily interventions, adjust ISPs in real time, and follow the graduated approach directly inside classroom workflows.

For Parents & Families

A clear, transparent view of your child's continuous progress history. Real-time updates help reduce the 'postcode lottery' and build genuine multi-agency trust.

For Local Authorities

A shared coordination layer linking education, health and social care. Maintain robust oversight, manage high-needs pressures, and support statutory compliance.

For Specialists

Seamless multi-disciplinary contribution. Add Speech & Language (SALT) or Occupational Therapy (OT) goals straight into the live child record — no cross-system blockages.

One platform, eight roles

Every hand around the child, on the same plan.

Each role sees the version of the record they're accountable for — and only that version. Tenant-isolated, with row-level security in PostgreSQL.

Built around real concerns

The sector has named the gaps. Here's how we respond.

Sector bodies such as the LGA and County Councils Network have repeatedly highlighted these concerns about SEND reform. eSENDplan is a coordination layer built around them.

What the sector fears
ISPs becoming another layer of administrative paperwork for schools.
How eSENDplan responds
Built around everyday classroom practice, not a separate form-filling exercise.
What the sector fears
Limited visibility of whether support is delivered between inspection cycles.
How eSENDplan responds
A daily record of provision and progress — continuous evidence, not periodic snapshots.
What the sector fears
Parents unsure whether support and protections will be maintained.
How eSENDplan responds
A live view and full history of support paths, improving local transparency and trust.
What the sector fears
Unclear accountability across councils, schools and health partners.
How eSENDplan responds
One shared coordination layer with clear responsibilities, evidence and visibility for every partner.

"If the proposed 2026 framework is going to work, the sector can't simply replace one format of paperwork with another. We don't need more administration — we need tools that let the administration track itself. #EdTech #SENDReform"

"Reducing the 'postcode lottery' in SEND support starts with giving families a first-class view. eSENDplan brings parents, teachers and specialists onto a single live record, so support is visible day-to-day — not just reviewed once a year."

Questions

Frequently asked

Is eSENDplan currently operational for live student data?
eSENDplan is a pre-pilot platform currently running in a private environment on Azure UK South, with no live pupil data. Local-authority pilots and public deployment are targeted for 2027.
How does the platform handle automated retention enforcement?
Per-Local-Authority retention schedules and automated enforcement are in active development and will be operational before first live deployment. They will securely and permanently delete records once the statutory retention clock expires.
Does eSENDplan support disaster recovery?
Automated backups run within Azure UK South with point-in-time restore (up to 35 days) and document version tracking. Geo-redundant cross-region disaster recovery and formal RPO/RTO targets are on our enterprise roadmap, provisioned where a local authority's requirements call for them.
Where is my data stored, and who can see it?
All personal data is held in the UK (Azure UK South). Each local authority's data is isolated, access is role-based, every login uses multi-factor authentication, and every change is recorded in an audit trail.
